With a host of new and talented leaders and guides that have joined us in the past several seasons, we are set for our most exciting and productive trips yet in 2010 & 2011!
Upcoming Expeditions for 2010 & 2011

Very experienced climber? Consider our 8000m series for 2010 which includes Makalu this spring, K2 & Broad Peak this summer and Cho Oyu next autumn. We continue in 2011 adding Nanga Parbat and Everest in 2012!
Just starting out? We have treks to K2 BC, Everest BC and introductory climbing trips to in our 5000m and 6000m series to Kilimajaro, Ecuador, Island Peak, Tharpu Chuli and more!
Have lots of experience? Looking to find a peak to challenge you then consider expeditions to Aconcagua, Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pumori, Spantik, Satopanth and others in our 6000m and 7000m series. We’ll be adding Denali and more in 2011!

About Field Touring Alpine
From humble beginnings as a University based club in Australia running just 2 trips a year in 1992, FTA has grown to cater to an extensive world-wide client base with an ever increasing array of adventures and climbing destinations on offer.

FTA specializes in cost effective climbing expeditions and remote alpine treks for independent climbers and walkers. In the past few seasons we have operated trips all over the globe including:
- 13 6000m / 7000m climbs including Ama Dablam, Aconcagua, Satopanth, and Spantik
- 6 major 8000m expeditions that included K2, Gasherbrum 2, Makalu, Broad Peak and Cho Oyu
- a host of alpine and remote based treks including Annapurna Sanctuary, K2 BC and Everest BC
- 6 sub 6000m trekking peaks including Gondogoro Peak, Island Peak, Lobuche and Tharpu Chuli
We are thoughtfully expanding our programs and now offer introduction to mountaineering and wilderness medicine courses to best serve aspiring trekkers and climbers.
